Everyone has a Religion

As a Christian I consider it my duty to participate in government for the betterment of society. The American Solidarity Party is based on Christian-Judeo principles, virtues, and social justice doctrines, the two greatest being love of God and love of neighbor.
Some say religion does not belong in government, but I say religious principles do belong.

Some argue for ‘separation of church and state’ but that constitutional principle applies only to prohibiting the state from endorsing a religion and thus protecting all religions from state interference.

I like to say, “Everyone has a religion”.

A Religion is a set of principles or values that guide how we live in relation to neighbors, fellow citizens, and for many of us, in relation to a creator God.

Some religions include a Creator God, the ultimate authority of natural laws such as the rights to: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness practiced in truth and justice; while other 'religions' rely on manmade principles or simple ideologies, e.g., I know best so do what I say.

World history over the past

2000 years

has shown Christian-Judeo principles as presented in the Christian bible to have been the most beneficial to humanity for the formation of stable, freedom protecting societies and human flourishing. Christian religious principles led the way in the creation of healthcare and education for the poor, the outlawing of slavery, the formation of representative governments, the concept of the equal human dignity of all persons, and the benefits of virtuous living.
